The system is fast and reliable, it works in other countries by wifi. Connection is mostly good, the Agenda pulls out contacts from the phone if you give it permission, and the meetings are way easy to start and share. The only problem that I see is the storage, I cannot control how much storage is given to each person with a line and I wish we could just put a limit to the amount of recorded calls once the storage is out. But I guess it's the only way for you to charge more. Everything else from the service I could recommend but the compatibility is really great.
  • Connection is always so good everywhere.
  • Simple and up-to-date interface on phone and PC.
  • SMS MMS works beautifully (maybe details on reception for automated systems, but great overall).
  • The fax system is awesome.
  • The app works even if it's not updated.
  • Activation of SMS should have a faster verification process.
  • I should be able to put a limit on recorded calls and stop recording when storage is full.
  • The capacity to listen to received audio and videos on the app would be great.
It works perfectly when I'm traveling on my phone. It works anywhere. The computer app makes my office calls so easy and simple to make, receive, transfer, and everything. The way the 8x8 X Series lets us manage and handle everything as personalized as possible makes it great for company use and I would even recommend it for personal use.

We use 8X8 in our office for our phone and fax system. It has been a great transition from our old (landline) phone system. What we like most is the ability to retrieve messages from anywhere and have our messages transcribed and sent to our emails. This is very helpful, especially for after-hours emergencies. We also utilize the programming for auto attendants when the office is closed.
  • Voicemail messages to email.
  • Auto attendant
  • Ease of transferring calls and picking up other desk calls.
  • We do not use a lot of the capabilites that 8X8 has at this time so we are limitied in what we can speak on.
  • We would like to be able to record our own voices for the voicemail messages.
8X8 has been great for auto attendant needs, as well as the ability to see voicemail messages anytime via our email. Voice transcriptions are not always very accurate, though.

  • Very detailed
  • Lots of information
  • Performance
  • Limited features
  • Call Quality sometimes is an issue
  • Some calls from our # is showing up as SPAM
The reporting is very good and easy to pull reports- This allows us to see information concerning our sales reps and the way they are using their time

We're using it for VoIP at our home office location and want to expand. We are also using the Contact Center solution for the IT Service Desk.
  • IVR
  • VoIP
  • Mobile app
  • Reporting
  • Reporting could be a bit better. Currently needing multiple reports where I think one should be able to pull all data.
  • Phone integration into the CC web app vs using the installed Work app.
The IVR scripting is amazing and easy to alter and manage. Call recording and review with the call mapping is great. This solution works great for our IT Service Desk as well as a VoIP solution for the rest of the office.

We use 8x8 primarily for patient communication. This product has helped us streamline the use of a single main line while being able to take calls remotely. Scheduling and managing appointments has become much much easier since implementing this system. Since we often see patients offsite as well, 8x8 mobile has allowed us to keep our personal numbers private, setting the office number as the caller ID. This also looks more professional, considering we are a small practice and do not have a centralized call center.
  • Call integration with office desk phones.
  • Voice quality on mobile app.
  • Text communications with patients who are hard of hearing.
  • Admin console being shareable to other users.
  • Setting desk phone as main audio/mic source without additional inputs.
  • Admin console access on desktop app vs web.
8x8 is well suited for our small private practice. Even though we are close to each other, it makes managing and transferring calls effortless. Concurrent calls are also a strong suit. Even if two people are logged into the same user account, being able to answer two lines at the same time and flip between devices is a great feature to have.

I use 8x8 X Series every day. I love the fact that I don't have to be at my desk when I receive calls. I can step away and answer through my cell phone.
  • With these webinars, I'm learning more and more each time.
  • Being able to transfer from desktop to the cell phone (vice versa) when calls come in has been really helpful.
  • Doing meeting calls on the 8x8 X Series app is awesome.
  • Prevent from having a lot of dropped calls.
  • When on a cell phone call and a call comes in from 8x8 X Series. It does not allow you to transfer the call.
  • Being able to have access to changes would be nice in 8x8 X Series. In my app.
Well suited is you are able to be away from your desk and still answer incoming calls. Not being able to transfer calls if you are on a call from your cell phone.

8x8 allows us to message in real-time across various departments. It is easy to move a chat into a meeting when needed. This works for people with and without 8x8. It's great!
  • Phone, chat and live meetings simply.
  • Great connections and low sound lag.
  • Integrate with TEAMS.
  • Ability to reply to a single message without commenting to the entire chat.

We utilize 8x8 for each of our employees to have a dedicated phone line that can link to their cell phones, desk phones, and Microsoft Teams accounts. We also utilize the options for rerouting calls as needed for if someone is unavailable or not answering their phone in a timely manner.
  • Ease of setting up phone line
  • Usually good uptime
  • Able to make modifications on the fly
  • In my opinion, desktop application is very finicky
  • I think the customer/technical support is lacking
  • Unable to create a fixed VOIP line
8x8 is effective as an entry-level application where there are users in multiple different locations/environments. However, its effectiveness is questionable in more involved scenarios, especially in the compliance sector, as well as the difficulty of getting effective support if there are any issues. Another issue we have is the ability to sync with new phones - it rarely takes the first time.

Zakiant has been using 8x8 for many years now, and we are using it both in-house and to support our clients as well. We have been very impressed with its performance and capabilities. The 8x8 X Series has helped us to solve a number of business problems, including Improved communication and collaboration. The platform's features, such as video conferencing and screen sharing, have helped our team to connect with customers and prospects more effectively. Overall, we are very pleased with 8x8 X Series.
  • Automatically routes incoming calls to the available agent with the appropriate skills, ensuring that customers are served promptly.
  • Integrates with email systems to provide a unified view of customer interactions.
  • Allows sales representatives to share their screens with customers and prospects, demonstrating products and services effectively.
  • The mobile app for 8x8 X Series could offer a more comprehensive and feature-rich experience.
  • 8x8 X Series should continuously enhance its security measures to protect user data and privacy.
Businesses that need a unified communications platform that can support a variety of communication channels, such as voice, video, messaging, and collaboration tools. The subscription-based model saves upfront investment in hardware or software.

8x8 replaced a legacy Avaya system in our organization. One of the biggest issues we were facing at the time was the inability for employees to answer calls when they were not in the office. 8x8 solves this by allowing any device to be a phone. The 8x8 Work app for your computer or smart phone works as advertised and now users can receive work calls where ever they are. As a phone system it does the job. There are some limitations which is why I don't give it a 10 out of 10. Unless otherwise specified the total number of voice mails any user can have is 20 out of the box. If you need to integrate to a paging system, do you homework first, they are very limited in the systems they can natively integrate with. You cannot setup a global fax cover sheet if you plan to use eFaxing. You have to use their cover sheet or each user must add one individually. Call filtering for Spam and Robocalls is non existent. Be prepared to start receiving a lot more unwanted spam and Robocalls. Overall the system does what it needs to do even with the issues mentioned here it's a good system.

  • User Management
  • 8x8 Work App
  • Technical Support
  • eFaxing
  • API Integration
  • Paging
8x8 does what it is supposed to do it's a good phone system. We rarely if ever have an outage. It works on all platforms and is pretty easy to setup. Onboarding was pretty easy too.

Where 8x8 falls short is in it's overall feature set. There are areas such as voice mail storage, eFaxing and spam/robo calls where I think they could do better.

The All Company Message Room has become our company chat which gives our Project Manager the ability to stay on top of everything, not to mention the quality of calls and easy to use Analytics with detailed reports on Dials, phone time and immediate access to recorded calls. 8x8 not only gives us a Professional look with the Company Caller ID and Department Extensions, but it has helped us Improve our Productivity by 30%. I cant see my company being where it is without it.
  • Records every call
  • Allows you to Communicate with your team in private messaging rooms
  • Great Quality Calls

I am able to use my phone in various places by downloading their app. Their price plans are competitive and offer great value for the features provided. Whenever I have a question their customer support has been top notch & Stephenie Watson is super helpful. 8x8's app is user friendly and allows me to manage my account and accept calls. 8x8 provides me with training sessions and updates so I can utilize my services available. In conclusion I wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in need of reliable and affordable phone services. Their dedication to quality, customer satisfaction, and innovation truly sets them apart.

We use the 8x8 system as our main line for client calls and for internal office extensions. We use 8x8 on a daily basis with phones that we acquired through 8x8. The delivery of the hardware and install were very efficient. Only drawback to date is that the system either needs a direct ethernet connection or a very strong Wifi connection (with adapters) which we did not confirm adequately before installation.
  • Customer service - efficient and well trained representatives
  • Efficient implementation of new service
  • User friendly website
  • Difficulty in setting up specific configurations for internal call management
  • More inquiry regarding client infrastructure with new service
  • Dedicate a representative for the "go-live" day to trouble shoot in real time
I had tried another VOip service which only lasted 5 days in our clinic since due to poor representative training they were simply not able to troubleshoot. 8x8 definitely solved this problem and can address our problems easily. However, I do feel that 8x8 is most likely geared toward larger business but there could also be a niche with working with small businesses such as ours. Small independent businesses tend to struggle with service based companies since we usually do not have an IT staff and because we do not represent corporations. Nonetheless, small businesses are loyal and can definitely promote your services within small business owners who otherwise may not have heard about 8x8.

8X8 has been highly functional for our Outreach Sales Purposes. It provides Seamless Integration with our in-house developed CRM. Its functionality is varied and expansive and really meets the demands or our requirements overall. It has been perfectly suited for us.
  • It registers all outbound calls by date and time.
  • It keeps all calls organized
  • It allows for Texting between Parties
  • It provides a Voicemail function which is useful
  • It sometimes drops calls
For our purposes, 8X8 is well-suited as an overall application for Sales and Marketing Outreach by phone.

We use 8x8 X Series as our VOIP phone system for our office and in connection with our personal mobile phones through its app. We use its features for phone calls, voicemails, and auto-attendant backup when our secretary is unavailable. These features are sufficient for our purposes to keep us in contact with our clients. We have used its text features and video conference features as well, but only in limited amounts given availability of other third party software that we also use.
  • Phone call quality is consistently good.
  • The ability to set up and manage users through its dashboard is very useful, eliminating the need to contact someone at 8x8 to perform the work.
  • 8x8 offers a lot of customizable features, so it is easy to tailor the system towards your needs.
  • 8x8 is very responsive and proactive when issues affect their systems.
  • 8x8's emails with billing info or auto-payments does not attach a pdf copy of the invoice for reference; you have to log in to your dashboard and navigate through several links to obtain a copy of your invoice, which is frankly just inconvenient.
  • While 8x8 is very feature rich, a lot of it appears to be oriented towards call centers and therefore may not be required or useful for small offices (like ours).
  • While 8x8 is very responsive to issues affecting its system, the frequent update alerts can become distracting.
I think 8x8 can be tailored to any work environment thanks to its customizable nature. However, as I mentioned elsewhere in this review, a lot of features are primarily oriented to call centers or call volume heavy workplaces. Small offices that do not receive heavy call volume may find the system a little complicated at first. However, if they are willing to invest the time and learn the system, it is a great system that lets you tailor it for your needs.

We use the 8x8 X series for phone services, as well as Video calls, meetings, and chat. We would like to expand it's use to take over for our previous Virtual meeting provider as well, since we find it very easy to use and we all are already subscribed to the 8x8 X series, however I recently found out that as users out of Canada we currently have certain limitations and were not able to completely move to 8x8 X series. This being said, I know the product continues improving, and I am looking forward to the future where it will have all the features we require.
  • I specifically like that Chat history does not get deleted after a period of time.
  • It is convenient to have it installed on all my work devices, very user friendly app.
  • the Support is very responsive and always tries to be helpful...
  • Integrations that are available to UK and US and not to Canada, like Pipedrive (the one that came to mind.) and the store (where I should be able to add additional users myself, but as it turned out and was later explained to me by their support team, the feature was not available for Canadian clients.
  • The app, although convenient, glitches almost daily. Also the app is very system-picky, LOL, there's a specific guidelines of adjustments required for MAC users for it to function as needed.
  • We would like to be able to introduce more features for the 8x8 Meet feature, like the host should be able to limit the ability of other participants sharing screens simultaneously (or at all) during the call, the host being able to control participants' permissions for large groups in general, the video links being available for longer than 72 hours, perhaps a larger cloud storage for the video calls etc...
Overall I am very happy with the service as mentioned before. I am sure the down sides mentioned previously will be resolved the more 8x8 service is around, the better it should get. in fact I have previously recommended 8x8 to ex colleagues and friends, so I'd say I am very likely to keep doing this, as long as the service quality does not decline. Thank you!

8x8 has become our global SaaS telephony solution, offering both a traditional 'BackOffice' telephony environment, combined with a full UCaaS solution, which support all of our global contact centres. The biggest challenge 7yrs ago, was do we reinvest in our current solution, potentially not getting any hosted-elements and maybe limiting our scalabiltiy, or can we leverage an up and coming SaaS platform, which will allow us to manage growth, introduce modernized solutions, improve contact centre experince for clients and agent, reduce boundaries for voice-requirements, whilst remaining within budgtary controls.

  • Voice Quality
  • Scalability
  • Product Features
  • Telephony knowledge
  • Invoicing
8x8 offers for BPO contact-centres a one-fits-all platfrom - Agents get a modernized platform, QA Teams can managed real-time situations and reporting gives management visabiltiy of producitvity.

We replaced out analog phone lines and phone system with 8x8 VOIP and saved a considerable amount of money. I do consulting any my largest user is a grocery store with 30+ phones in several locations. The features are amazing and customized per user or department - many options. We chose the Polycom phone that have amazing sound quality. The only drawback with Polycom phones (and maybe others) is that in certain areas you can't hear the phone ring.
  • Voice Quality
  • Savings
  • Many features
  • Technical service can be challenging there usually is a communication issue. Tech support is always very pleasant but sometimes just don't get what the issue is. That has been the only downfall with 8x8
It should work great in any setting, I even chose to have it at my home as well. The only issue is noise areas, not probably a system issue more like a phone issue. There needs to be an easy way for louder ringing

8x8 makes it difficult for us move between different computers, locations as well as different accounts, especially when integrated with Hubspot and Google Ads. It doesn't report the calls from Google Ads as a source and sometimes, reports the calls twice when parked, transferred, etc.

Great program that can be used on both my cell phone and company computer/tablet. Ease of use and ability to message contacts quickly while having the easiest support staff we work with. Any issue is resolved quickly and 8x8 checks in periodically to ensure that the issue was resolved and has not returned.
  • Ease of use
  • Communication in office has improved
  • Easier ways to silence on weekends when not in office
When working in the field we are able to answer work calls and 8x8 will show that the call is internal or from an external line to help determine the urgency of the call. When the app is not on the home screen 8x8 will pop up and have a different look to help determine if the call is on a business line or a personal line.

Our company uses 8x8 to streamline all incoming correspondence whether it be for phone calls during open and closed hours, faxes and we use the 8x8 meeting feature for video calls for emergencies for patients. We used an answering service before transitioning to VOIP and the disconnect in communication between the answering service and office staff was a consistent issue that we ran into. Now that we have cut out the middle man, 8x8 takes care of all our incoming correspondence especially for afterhours. We also were able to downsize in the programs apps that we were using beforehand such as for video consults since we now use 8x8 meetings.
  • Handle incoming phone calls during and after business hours
  • Easy format to use for novice computer users
  • Phone app having more features
When transitioning my company to VOIP, my doctors and I chose 8x8 based off of the positive reviews. To give a little background, my experience in VOIP at the beginning was definitely a novice. Initial setup was easy (connecting phones to internet/computer, phone activation). Setting up the auto attendants/ring groups/call queues to flow in the way my managers wanted was the only tricky part on my end but the customer service that I received on fixing issues that I ran into was exceptional. Getting to speak to an actual person is a straightforward and quick process. As time has progressed, I've set up a total of 3 offices so far. I've come to notice the online manuals of instructions being consistently updated and the upkeep and management of all 3 locations has been a breeze. I would recommend 8x8 100% to any business that wants to structure their incoming correspondence (different types of phone calls, faxes etc.) in an efficient and productive way for the users/company.

We use 8x8 X Series pretty much with most of the functions available. It is our daily phone system, but almost all of us use the phone app when working from home. There are several of us who use headsets connected to our office computers that allow us to never touch the phone...we can answer calls and dial out on the computer keyboard. You wouldn't think that would save a lot of time, but it actually does when you take and make dozens of phone calls each day. We use the messaging system within 8x8 X Series, as well as the faxing service. This is quite literally a single product that has so many functions that help us be productive. The ONE issue I seem to have when working from home and using the mobile app is that occasionally I will move my phone and lose audio on my end. The other party can hear me, but I can't hear them. I spoke with our account rep who mentioned there is a setting that could be turned off in the app which should prevent that, but that would mean I couldn't answer a call and transfer it to another person in my organization. For all the good this product does for our company, I'll deal with that minor pain point!
  • Customer service is excellent if you need something checked or handled quickly.
  • Integrating multiple things within a single app that are crucial to daily operations, i.e. phone, fax, IM, and messaging directly to our 8x8 X Series rep.
  • Having tech experts who can let you know if accessories will or will not work with the system, such as the headsets we us.
  • The mobile app has the one issue that causes me to lose audio. Is there a fix without turning off the setting which allows me to transfer calls?
  • When using the mobile app and needing to transfer a call, I've noticed the employee list looks a little weird. It doesn't appear to be in order of name or extension. But maybe that's a setting I have marked incorrectly.
I can't think of any function that doesn't suit our organization. The ability to work from anywhere and still answer phone calls coming in is great. Being able to message colleagues, use the fax function when working anywhere, and transfer when on the mobile app just like I would in the office is great. Overall, I think this product is well worth the cost. The design helps us be as efficient as possible with minimal effort.
